An offset account is generally an everyday transaction account linked to your home loan. It is generally suggested to deposit your salary and savings into an offset account as it is used to lower the amount owing on your loan, so borrowers will only be charged interest on the difference. Offset accounts provide mortgage owners with flexibility to reduce the interest payable for the current period without having to fully commit the funds as a lump sum repayment into the loan. The Convego® Parley Ocean Card created from intercepted and upcycled marine plastic waste is coming soon to those with an offset account linked to a WLTH home loan. This means the WLTH Offset will have a linked debit card.
Redraw Facility
Mortgage owners may elect to make extra repayments to reduce the interest charged over the life of the loan. A redraw facility allows borrowers to access these additional repayments made over the minimum requirement and use it as you wish. It is important to note that a redraw facility may not be used for everyday transactions like an offset account.
