Future of social
responsibility

In collaboration with Parley for the Ocean, we are changing the lending experience and making a difference. For every home loan that is settled, WLTH will assist and empower Parley for the Ocean teams to cleanup 50m2 of beach or coastline throughout Australia and around the world.

Over 10 million tonnes of plastic end up in our oceans every year.

Plastic makes up 80% of all marine debris - from surface waters to deep-sea sediments, and millions of birds, turtles, fish, and other species are affected by marine plastic debris.

Currently, it is estimated that there are 100 million tonnes of plastic in oceans around the world. Instead of breaking down, plastic breaks apart - entering the marine food web and contaminating ecosystems as microplastics.

WLTH pledges that for every settled loan 50m2 of beach and coastline will be cleaned of plastic pollution.

Mission statement

“As a business, we want to make a difference...”

Aimed at a new generation of customers who are driven by authentic, impactful commitments to environmental responsibility, the WLTH x Parley for the Oceans card is a Symbol of Change to carry with you every day. Core to WLTH’s mission, every home loan that is settled will empower Parley for the Ocean teams to cleanup 50m2 of a beach or coastline throughout Australia and around the world.

Voyage one

Whitsunday Islands

WLTH team members joined forces with Parley for the Oceans crew to conduct a high-impact cleanup in the Whitsundays. Thought to be a pristine location from afar revealed a prime destination for marine plastic debris littered all over the white sands. Bringing the A.I.R Strategy to life, the 11 total participants intercepted a combined total of 630 kilograms of debris across a total area of 11,500m2 of beach and coastline. Proof that not even paradise is immune to the plastic problem. The roadmap for further voyages is currently being planned.

Voyage two

Cape Bedford and Cape Flattery

As part of Voyage 2, 250+ bottle caps, 1,700+ bits of microplastic and many other forms of plastic pollution were all cleaned from a single square meter of beach in Cape Bedford. A small sample size of a much bigger, global problem. Parley for the Oceans, together with members of the WLTH team and additional volunteers took up the challenge to clean up beach and coastline to remove marine plastic pollution in the northern shores of Queensland (Cape Bedford & Cape Flattery) for another eye-opening experience.

Voyage three

The Beach (Planespotting)

A shared passion to fight marine pollution united volunteers from various backgrounds to take action in one of Sydney's most affected beaches. WLTH team members plus our valuable partners from Parley for the Oceans and the Australian SailGP team were joined by competing teams from all over the world to make an impact. Located at 'The Beach (Planespotting)' beside the Sydney airport, a high-powered beach and coastline cleanup was conducted for the afternoon. An estimated total of 20 x 60 litre bags filled with debris were intercepted, amounting to 500m2 of beach and coastline cleared.

Parley A.I.R Strategy

Avoid. Intercept. Redesign.

Parley A.I.R Strategy

Avoid. Intercept. Redesign.

At least every second breath we take comes from the sea. The oceans give us life. In return, we give them plastic.

Plastic is a design failure. Once produced, it never dies, and a massive amount of it enters the oceans daily. A lack of imagination got us into this mess. Creativity and collaboration can guide us out.

To address the fast-growing threat of marine plastic pollution, Parley for the Oceans devised a strategy that can be scaled across private households, businesses and governments — and the creative industries that mold the reality we inhabit. Realized in three key pillars of action, Parley A.I.R is an invitation to own your role in the movement for solutions.
